I’m Giovanna Chiti—an Italian travel expert dedicated to opening the doors to my country, so you too can feel at home in this wonderful place, and enjoy a truly authentic experience. When I was a girl growing up in Milan, my favorite book was a travel guide filled with fascinating maps, pictures and itineraries. My obsession with that book evolved into a calling, and today, I arrange remarkable journeys throughout Italy. You could say I was “destined” to discover!

I began my 30-year career in the travel industry as a specialist with TWA, then as the co-founder of Caravella Italia, a tour operator focused on small, upscale group travel to Italy. Eventually, I decided that my expertise in travel planning and lifelong knowledge of Italy would allow me to deliver a far more personalized experience that met every client’s unique interests, needs and budget. In 2010, I launched Discover my Italy. As of 2025, we are joyfully celebrating our 15th year.
